Lifelounge chatted with Shunda K from Yo! Majesty today and we realised that even though we've been fans for a while, we hadn't sung their praises online. Until now.
Music critics often pay more attention to the fact that these ladies (Shunda K and JWL B) are African-American, women, lesbians and Christians rather than the fact that they have their very own super raw, very fun version of electro-, crunk-, borderline punk-vibed hip hop. But they're not worried about what people write, they're positive that the music speaks for itself, "It sounds pretty intriguing, when you see that on paper... But then you click on our myspace page and hear the music, it backs up all that hype."
So, just ahead of their album Futuristically Speaking; tours through the US, UK, Europe and Australia later this year; and a feature in the next edition of Lifelounge, bow down to Yo! Majesty.
