Chronic consumerism and retail zombies by Brian Ulrich
NY photographer, Brian Ulrich has made a name for himself by capturing
the effects of over-consumption, commercialism and the dregs of
consumer culture in a way that is sadly familiar to us all. His images
are not staged and his subjects are not actors, they are the resident,
empty retail zombies in American superdoopermarket hell.
Check out some samples from his Copia project, which in his words is 'a long-term photographic examination of the peculiarities and complexities of the consumer-dominated culture in which we live. '
