Clever, weird, and kooky pools
<< Back
Splish splash. Feb 27, 2008 at 04:03
Since I'm still on the water restrictions vibe, and have started living a different life vicariously through water-related products, I was pretty excited when I found this list of clever, weird, kooky and cool pools. One is 100 feet deep (deepest pool ever), one is a thousand years old (oldest pool ever), one is a pool in a pool (complete with sharks) and one is a flooded rooftop (not even really a pool).

The team at oobject.com put this collection together, and I've been looking at them wistfully for an hour or two. They are testament to amazing historical achievements, architectural cleverness, the wonder of nature, and the complete ridiculous, barf-worthy decadence of today.

Meanhwile, I know you're thinking "That pool in the main image is bullshit". But no, it's part of a theme park in Vietnam. It's called Suoi Tien, and it's apparently in Saigon. But I must have missed it. And now I'm crankypants. Here's footage. For proof.
