Element Eden Advocate Art Feature
Words by: Annie Fox

Element created the Eden Advocate Program to help nurture passionate females in their chosen craft. The idea is to support advocates in their pursuit as well as highlight their work.

The program periodically takes a new girl under its wing. The chosen advocate appears in Element’s advertising and her profile is featured on www.elementeden.com. Even after a new girl is selected the previous advocate stays on – so the family just keeps growing and growing.

This summer’s advocate, Brooke Reidt, lives and works in Los Angeles, California. She wanted to become an advocate because ‘Element and I have twin ethics and ambitions’. When she isn’t going to school, Reidt spends most of her time painting, travelling, writing and creating illustrative journals. The eloquent artist cites ‘life, death and the survivors and debris of both’ as the inspirations behind her work.

To catch Brooke’s artwork throughout Element Eden’s Hi Summer range, go online to www.elementeden.com or get involved by contacting Element Australia on info@elementskateboards.com.au. There are no restrictions on who can be an advocate beyond having passion for what they do in life, whether it is art, poetry, music or anything else.

love the concept; nice one Element. Great to see advocate programs on the increase. Brooke's work is great; pretty intense reading through her bio though – definitely one to read with a dictionary (least for me anyway)
