More often than not Los Angeles and San Francisco get most of the California loving, with poor ol’ capital Sacramento falling behind as a poor third cousin. DIY four-piece Ganglians however are set to change that, their scuzzy reverb-drenched sounds refuting the notion that all the city is, is pizza joints and happy families. Oh no sir-ee, Sacramento is pizza joints, happy families and Pitchfork-endorsed music.
Ganglians (scruffy boy next door types going by the names Ryan Adrian, Kyle and Alex) is a part of this new DIY movement that has mainly been spearheaded by the two indie labels Woodsist and Captured Tracks. Let's see who we can group them with (we’re into the lazy man’s version of music journalism, can’t you tell?): Dum Dum Girls, Thee Oh Sees, Vivian Girls, Wavves, etc.
This here track below is on the warped California surf tip, and also a song that Ganglians themselves to be one of "our best songs yet".
