Rens - I used to work for a guy who spent a lot of time in NY. He’d always say “Yo B, this shit is bananas”. Hopefully some of that ends up here.

Cutting that edge, again Jul 04, 2008 at 04:50
I have said many times that the influence of skate, or more broadly, the action sports culture, is not understood by most. People don't generally (Lifelounge readers excluded of course) realise that sneakers and jeans were never worn togther as a style in the mainstream until skating came along. That cargo pants came from skating and that a lot of the coolest, most cutting edge designs and styles come from the industry.

We recently saw Lakai blow us away (literally) with their intro to fully flared. Now I have just been sent the most recent campaign from my boys at Insight and I have been blown away again. The general fashion shots are great, but it's the underwater series for surf that are just amazing. I don't think anyone can look at these and not say they are fresh.

Well done boys, this ad campaign just paid for itself!

Go to insight51 for more.

saw em in action in the pages of the latest Monster Chillun. Are they spliced images? I'd like to see a "making of" for this pics. Does Insight51 have any footage like they had for their other campaigns?

Sweet as!! Good to see some fresh angles for the surf industry! Very impressive ads that don't entirely revolve around the famous surfer in a tube or doing a throw away air like all the other people out there...
