The French Artist Releases 'Excavation' in Melb!

On Sat 22 August, artist James Jean will be unveiling his brand new print release "Excavation", at Melbourne's Outre Gallery.

His fluid style creates dream-like settings that are simultaneously playful and violent. Quite a combination.

But before he reveals his new pieces, check out his work for the 2008 French Aids Awareness campaign: 'AIDES (Explore. Just protect yourself)'. The safe sex illustrations just won a bronze medal at Cannes!

Wow these are ace! the cocktopus freaks me out a little tho... question: aren't they just a tad hetrocentric? no boy bits for boys to explore? no girl bits for girls? hmmmm. odd.
