Categorise Mr Jamie Lidell if you want. But you'd be wise not to even try. He's a little bit soul, a little bit funk, pop, gospel, Motown, and a lot of crazy all rolled into one very clever man.
Apparently deciding to "put brackets around my schizophrenic outpourings" for this album, Jim, Lidell has gone easy on the psycho in the lyrics, but when he's seducing and murdering unicorns in his music video, it's safe to say he's not completely sane yet. Thank God.
The good people at Inertia have offered Jim up for your listening pleasure, and a bonus track (that isn't on the album) for you to download.

I dunno... I tried listening to this when it first came out and was pretty unimpressed. The whole "white boy doing soul/funk" thing just came across really forced.

this guy has made a pretty amazing turn in music style though. to go from total Glitch music to this is crazy.
