The good news is Janelle Monae will win you over with her 'Violet Stars Happy Hunting!' from her EP Metropolis Suite I of IV: The Chase, the bad news is that EP is only five songs long. The super best news
is that she's releasing her first full length album soon.
Influenced and inspired by artists like Michael Jackson, Judy Garland, James Brown, Cameo, Stevie Wonder, OutKast, Bach, Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, SWV, Bjork, and The Hives, Monae signed with Puff Daddy's Bad Boy Records last year. You might recognise her from the Idlewild soundtrack, where she performed with OutKast, or the 'Morris Brown' video which was also born out of that movie.
Another talent in the ever-growing list of awesome musical ladies. Plus she's super-styling. And awful pretty. Trifecta.
