John Legend fans might be confused. Andre 3000 fans might be too, come to think of it. This song from Legend's upcoming album which is due out some time in September is a collaboration between John 'Ordinary People' Legend and Andre 3000 which may seem like an unlikely duo to some. Apparently Legend (who, incidentally, is one of those classy and quiet philanthropists) is counting on the entire album being a bit of a surprise for listeners and he's teamed up with will.i.am and Pharrell (of course), among others.
It's a lot more up-beat than Legend's earlier work but Andre 3000's lyrics are pretty much as sleazy as ever, and he gets away with it beautifully because he oozes charisma, is actually quite funny ("I went hard like Medusa staring at me" and "If I were you, it'd be me I'd go home with") and is the dapper-est rapper ever. It could be a grower.
