'River of Brakelights' is another cheeky leak from Julian Casablancas' upcoming solo album Phrazes For The Young. It's no '11th Dimension'; it's no synthy homage to the 80s. It has a different structure compared with your usual pop songs – a little more complex and busy with some super quick percussion and Casablancas altering his vocals throughout.
Phrazes For The Young is shaping up to be a diverse album. And a good one. Thanks, Casablancas.
PS. Don't worry your pretty heads about what's happening with The Strokes now, Casablancas says "I understand and respect them and love them" and they're doing the opposite of breaking up.
