This was a bit of a slippery sucker to catch a hold of. 'Big Ideas' by the very fabulous LCD Soundsystem was commissioned for the upcoming film 21, which, according to its website is about super-brain young things who cheat casinos out of millions; it stars Kevin Spacey, Laurence Fishbourne, and Kate Bosworth, and is set to be released in the USA at the end of March.
The solely instrumental introduction to 'Big Ideas' is very long, and Kate Bosworth wouldn't get through two bites of a Big Mac in that time, but it kind of seems like a good match for a casino heist montage. And that cliched thought is just another in a long line of reasons I'm not in the movie business.
Great song though; I'm all about it.
