Matt Pasquarello's angels, giraffes, musicians and dinosaurs
<< Back
Through the looking glass Oct 05, 2008 at 08:23
Matt Pasquarello grew up in New Jersey where he painted his first still life in first grade. Later he moved to Florida where he completed a Bachelor's Degree in Illustration at Ringling School of Art and Design during which he refined his talent for eerie portraiture. Often having his subjects posed with animals and/or instruments, there's a certain sense of awkwardness but also stillness and calm to his artworks.

With themes of isolation and loneliness, Pasquarello's detailed painting also shows that there's a lot more going on than meets the eye. The faces tell it all.
