Futuretron of Dinosaur Island - 45,000 years in the 'Anti-Future' Africa crashed into the corporate ghetto icefloor. One human got all the information inside his mind everyday and would go back to the cave to adorn the walls with all that was learned. Today the cave has see-through walls, infinity dimensions, a sensible sunroof* and is really pumped about sales!!! Welcome.

Michel Gondry's top 25 music videos in the last 25 years
<< Back
Also possibly Lifelounge's fattest post yet Jun 30, 2008 at 04:49
The genius Michel Gondry has narrowed down his all time favourite music videos to list his favourite 25 from the last 25 years. We just have one question, where is A-Ha's 'Take on Me'? And also, if R. Kelly gets to be in the top 25 anything, surely it's the top 25 most famous creepy piss-fetish pedophiles. Right?

Herbie Hancock: "Rockit'' (1983)

Paul Simon: "You Can Call Me Al" (1986)

Michael Jackson: ''Billie Jean'' (1983)

Young MC: "Bust a Move" (1989)

Peter Gabriel: 'Sledgehammer'' (1986)

Red Hot Chili Peppers: "Give It Away'' (1991)

Beastie Boys: ''Sabotage'' (1994)

Björk: "It's Oh So Quiet'' (1995)

Jean-Luc Ponty: "Individual Choice" (1983)

Talking Heads: "Burning Down the House" (1983)

Téléphone: "Un Autre Monde" (1984)

The Cure: "Close to Me" (1985)

New Order: "Perfect Kiss" (1985)

Beastie Boys: "Fight for Your Right to Party" (1986)

Run DMC (Feat. Aerosmith): "'Walk this Way" (1986)

Michael Jackson: "Leave Me Alone" (1987)

Madonna: "Like a Prayer" (1989)

Tone Loc: "Wild Thing" (1989)

Massive Attack: "Unfinished Sympathy" (1991)

The Pharcyde: "Drop" (1996)

Lenny Kravitz: "Are You Gonna Go My Way?" (1993)

Jamiroquai: "Virtual Insanity" (1996)

Aphex Twin: "Come to Daddy" (1997)

Devendra Banhart: ''A Ribbon'' (2004)

R. Kelly: ''Trapped in the Closet'' (2005)

And... exhale.

It's a shame he made such a list himself. If it was anyone else's 'Top 25' picks, I'm sure Gondry's work would feature the most - perhaps, starting with the bullet timed 'Like a Rolling Stone.'

What the hell are Tone Loc and Young MC doing in that list? Both those songs may have been huge commercial hits but they were utter shite. And the videoclips that accompany them are just as bad as the songs. I think Public Enemy's Fight The Power videoclips dumps on both those selections from a great height.

the R.Kelly shit is just hilarious. I hope it's an ironic choice.
