Rens - I used to work for a guy who spent a lot of time in NY. He’d always say “Yo B, this shit is bananas”. Hopefully some of that ends up here.

Monica Canilao might draw better than you
<< Back
She definitely draws better than most May 09, 2008 at 03:26
Monica Canilao is just 24-years-old and has already received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in illustration, been part of a berzillion exhibitions, and created an impressive and extensive portfolio. Little bit jealous?

She's interested in the imprints people leave behind; discarded objects, handmade bits and pieces, abandoned buildings and furniture. She loves anything with a history and a story. Most of Canilao's artworks are created using materials that have been left behind so her drawings, sculptures, paintings and collages all focus heavily on reuse, reinvention.

she looks like a girl who would have a lifetime subscription to Frankie magazine, talented though - some quirky pics there.
