Mr Moonshine - "Mr Simpson, don't you worry. I saw an episode of Matlock in a bar last night. The sound was down, but I think I got the gist of it."

NERD and Grandmaster Flash dazzle Melbourne

Future Entertainment and Lifelounge brought the legendary Grandmaster Flash and infamous N*E*R*D to Melbourne the other night and while (sadly) some of the young and Pharrell-hungry crowd barely knowing who hip hop pioneer Flash was, they enjoyed some big hip hop anthems he offered up. N*E*R*D began with a big entrance and some serious swagger, with Pharrell's variety of on-stage antics throughout the show making some laugh, some barf and some swoon their faces off.

In Sydney he kept stoppin the track and yellin "you KNOW hiphop, you LIKE hiphop, but can you DO hiphop!!" over and over...got a bit frustrating in the end!

Yeah, its kind of weird seeing those older Hip Hop performers.. can go either way... saw Sugar Hill Gang a few years ago... SUCKED!

Yeah bloody ignorant younger crowds....they should do their homework on some artists...its hip-hop genuises such as Grandmaster Flash that gave them people like Pharrell and Nas today!

The crowd gave Grandmaster Flash NOTHING – in fact there was a guy heckling him for a while – and in return he gave us a lacklustre performance. (BTW bono, Sugar Hill Gang was so disappointing when I saw them too, and not for cheap.)

U peeps do know that sugarhill gang were not even proper rappers? So why would anyone spend a fortune to listen to rappers delight is beyond me. :) and on the flash thing A)doesn't suprise me about lack of respect B) after his last tour he left a bad taste in a lot of peoples mouths. But hey he was always just a dj...what they think he was a rapper?
