Rens - I used to work for a guy who spent a lot of time in NY. He’d always say “Yo B, this shit is bananas”. Hopefully some of that ends up here.

NicholasXMorley's hot fun in the summertime
<< Back
Spring / Summer 08-09 Sep 05, 2008 at 07:44
Remember Buddhist Punk? Nicholas Morley founded it in 1999 and it was worn by everybody from supermodels to Keith Richards. Just last year, Morley (who, incidentally, is Alice McCall's partner and the two have created some kind of turbo fashion baby) launched his new label NicholasXMorley.

NicholasXMorley combines "the bluntness of rock'n'roll with the gallows of humour" but it also looks like Morley has managed to re-introduce us to colour and pattern without making it a homage to the 80s. This Spring/Summer collection is full of cute, 70s-ish patterns, and covers all bases from boardshorts to hoodies, dress-up frocks and skinny jeans.

Before this Morley worked as a Creative Director for Mambo and designed merchandise for the Rolling Stones, AC/DC and Blondie (and he still has fashion advice for them).
