Ostwald Helagson was launched last year by Susanne Ostwald and Ingvar Helgason. Born in Germany and Iceland respectively, they have a turbo Euro vibe and are not about conforming to any fashion fad. Ever.
With vaguely androgynous designs that seem to have been inspired by old-school, quality tailoring; and a penchant for strong, pseudo-ugly patterns, Ostwald and Helgason's garments are not for the faint of style. Apparently this season's gear has been based on Diaghilev's ballet Le Train Bleu, Picasso-designed curtains (made for the ballet) and golf, horse-riding and tennis. An interesting little collection.
Available in Spain, England, Austria, France, Japan, Dubai, and the US, it's not ours yet... but check out the designs here.
