As a young skate grommit of the 80s and 90s i'd spend hours of my days
luring at graphics on the stickers in the skate counters and boards on
the deck wall of the local skate shop. The iconic graphics created by
the artistic genius of the likes of Santa Cuz artist Jim Phillips and
Powell Peralta's Vernon Courtland Johnston, helped to shape skate
culture and to this day are still inspirational and fresh as hell. I
remembered spotting a link in Futuretron's blog
a few months ago to a website dedicated to the skate stickers of the
80s and 90s, quite a few of which are still available for purchase and
thought it was probably worth a refresh. It's the largest online
collection of vintage skateboard stickers on the entire interwebs. Radness. Well
worth a peek.
Some of my faves are pictured to the right of this post and for more visit retroskatestickers.com
