Brooklyn electro-rock-ish duo Ratatat are so hot right now. Set to release their new album LP3 in July there have been a couple of songs and a video from the album doing the rounds of the interwebs over the last few days.
Based in Brooklyn, Ratatat is made up of Mike Stroud and Evan 'E*vax' Mast, whose sound is epic, cinematic, and sometimes overwhelming. 'Shiller' is the first single from the album and is slow and a little eerie, while 'Mirando' will give you a good idea of the different sounds these fellas produce. Then there's the Arnold Schwarzenegger homage in the 'Mirando' video, where explosions and people on fire manage to move perfectly with the song. Ratatat are also hip hop enthusiasts, and create awesome remixes and mixtapes for your listening pleasure.
