Rens - I used to work for a guy who spent a lot of time in NY. He’d always say “Yo B, this shit is bananas”. Hopefully some of that ends up here.

Mark Mothersbaugh - Life After Devo Nov 12, 2007 at 09:52
Mark Mothersbaugh, one of the founding members, vocalist and synth player of arguably one of the most original post-punk/new wave bands of the late 70s / early 80s - Devo, is holding a solo art show at the Scion art space in Culver City, CA. The exhibition, Rugs During Wartime and Peacetime showcases Mothersbaugh's artistic abilities through the medium of household rugs and is an exploration of the imagery we choose to bring into our homes and how we interact with it for the purposes of comfort and peace-of-mind, rather than an esoteric sense of art for art's sake.

As far as rugs go these pieces are pretty amazing. Check out the samples to the right of this post --->

The exhibition opens this Saturday (November 17) and will be running right through to December 1, check the flyer to the right of this post for details and for more info visit Scion Space here.

You know what? It's great to see some rug art as let's be honest, we never really focus on them and they are a massive part of our homes and the way they feel. I love the huge round one, I think Lifelounge needs this.
