The latest edition to the current slew of amazing female artists (including M.I.A. and Amanda Blank) that are blowing me away at the moment is Philadelphia born and Brooklyn based Santi White, aka Santogold. With a ridiculously rich musical resume, including production credits for Res and GZA, as well as songwriting credits for Lily Allen, vocalist duties for her former punk outfit Stiffed, and collaborations with Disco D (R.I.P), Sinden, Freq Nasty, Mark Ronson, Diplo, Radioclit, Spank Rock and M.I.A., Santi White's solo project Santogold is set to blow minds and dancefloors with equal force.
With her debut LP set to drop anytime soon, you'll have to suffice with the offerings on her myspace or the various tracks that have been floating around the net for the last few months, but be sure that when her album does see the light of day, I'll be there to let you know.
