The first time I worked with Cybele I was instantly impressed by her natural talent and ease behind the lens. After working with a lot of photographers you get to know the natural talents from the hard workers, and much to my pleasure she was both.
Lifelounge worked with Cybele to shoot our Sydney Pop Levi gig last year and she had the band eating out of her hand within minutes. Telling them things like lie on the dirty floor and sit on his knee, things most photographers can’t get away with. So it was with much pleasure that she emailed me to let us know that she is holding an exhibition of her works. They will be translucent, massive and beautifully backlit. Sensory overload will also be on offer as the gallery will be blacked out in Sydney to give you the full experience. And yes they are then coming down to Melbourne.

Exhibition Title: CYBELE MALINOWSKI : loudlight
Exhibition Dates: 18th-30th April, 2008 @ MTV Gallery, 4-16 Yurong Street, East Sydney NSW 2010.
(Melbourne dates TBC but set for mid May 2008)
Entertainment: For the opening night
• DJ sets from PhDj and FBI’s Michaela Solar-March
• Live set from ‘exhibited’ surprise celebrity guest
