Rens - I used to work for a guy who spent a lot of time in NY. He’d always say “Yo B, this shit is bananas”. Hopefully some of that ends up here.

Un peut magnifique. Un peut psychotique! Feb 14, 2008 at 12:25
Skwak, a French illustrator and toy designer, is apparently inspired by fairytales. They must be some kooky, scary fairytales.

His illustrations and prints feature creatures of craziness and exaggeration. This exaggeration purveys the idea of 'too much', Skwak says, "the idea of escalation, through power, wealth, plastic surgery, celebrity..."

His clients include Nike, Levis, BeautifulDecay, Microsoft (Zune), Artoyz, and Mindstyle; and his works have appeared in many books and magazines.

There are angels, orgies, children, virgins, and bodybuilders; each created with patience and detail galore in the gallery attached. Me likey!

And you can see more at skwak.com. Via designiskinky.net.

In some way reminds me of Keith Haring, but with much more details.
