Rens - I used to work for a guy who spent a lot of time in NY. He’d always say “Yo B, this shit is bananas”. Hopefully some of that ends up here.

Some Type Of Wonderful Update 2
<< Back
A cheeky preview & a date to save Oct 09, 2008 at 10:30
So there's been plenty of movement in the Some Type Of Wonderful camps over the last few weeks and for those of you who are in or are planning to be in Melbourne later this month I have a date for you to save in your calendars. Invitations will be going out to loungers early next week but we'll be holding the STW09 exhibition launch on:

Thursday, 23 October 2008
6pm onwards

McCulloch Gallery
8 Rankins Lane, Melbourne

If you're in the area drop down and have a beverage or two and get up close and personal with the final individual artworks. Hope  to see you there. Sydeny siders stay tuned, STW09 may be gracing your gorgeous harbour in the not too distant future.

I can't reveal the final pieces in their entirety just yet but pictured to the right of this post is a sneak preview of a detail section of each of the pieces to hopefully quench/tease your typographic appetites. All registered loungers will be notified as soon the final prints and calendars will be available for viewing and purchase. If you haven't signed up yet make sure you register your details to be the one of the first to know. Stocks are extremely limited.

Love a cheeky teaser; even without seeing the whole piece, each one looks fabulous.

you're not wrong jay, it's been worth it though. it's been such a fun project to work on. we'll do it every year from now for sure. Cheers PC but the detail images probably don't do the pieces justice they're all amazing.

I'm a tight-arse. How much is to go to the opening? I mean, I'd like to be there, but ehhh (I'm rubbing two fingers and my thumb together).

the launch is free and so's the beer... it's only if you want to take something home that it's going to cost you.

can't wait to see it in sydney!

Free, you say. Hmm. That certainly appeals to my tight-arse sensibilities.

this could end up being somewhat of a Avatarade (masquerade + Avatar =) of sorts for the Melb lounger's.

I'm going incognito. I don't want to blow my cover.
