Because today is the first day in months that the temperature is reaching 18 whole degrees. Because the sun is coming out and we're having a BBQ. Because all these songs remind us of summer, for one reason or another. And, because there's nothing quite like listening to the Doobie Brothers while you sip a beer and enjoy a snag in bread (with onions).
Good day, sunshine.
The Doobie Brothers 'What a Fool Believes':
Sly and the Family Stone 'Hot Fun in the Summertime':
A Tribe Called Quest 'Bonita Applebum':
Fleetwood Mac 'Tusk':
Snoop Dogg 'Gin n Juice':
Journey 'Any Way You Want It':
Blind Melon 'No Rain':
Chicago 'Saturday in the Park':
The Kinks 'Sunny Afternoon':
Smashing Pumpkins '1979':
Luther Vandross 'Never Too Much':
Jane's Addiction 'Jane Says':
Bill Withers 'Lovely Day':
Souls of Mischief 'Til Infinity':
Booker T and the MGs 'Green Onions':
The Pharcyde 'Runnin':
Bob Marley 'Sun is Shining':
Martha and the Muffins 'Echo Beach':
Beach Boys 'I Get Around':
Tupac 'California Love':
The Jam 'A Town Called Malice':
And we know that there are a million more, so head to the Good day, sunshine forum and tell us our glaring mistakes. Go on. You can't wait.
