The duo behind Starstyling Berlin is adamant that their fashion label isn't about fashion, so it's up to you whether or not you take their disco-ball ensembles as ironic. Rather than reflecting (yes, I said it) or following current trends, Starstyling is influenced by trends in society; everything from tablecloths to "confetti made out of Vogue magazines" have their moment when a range is designed.
Designers Katja Schlegel and Kai Seifried are set on "mocking fashion's strict aesthetics" and do so quite amazingly with reflector hoods, tasselled capes, Hypercolour-esque fabric skirts, but also manage to put a few much more demure pieces in their collection for those who aren't ready for the head-to-toe shiny disco-ball number.
Quite a bit nuttier than their last collection, you can see more of Starstyling's Autumn and Winter range for 2008 at starstyling.net.
