| Who isn't fond of psychedelic folk vintage synth? |
Oct 14, 2008 at 10:20 |
Since the Animals 7", the Sydney-based Spod has released a full length album called Superfrenz and it's not necessarily like anything you've heard before. It's been described as "psychedelic folk vintage synth" about everything from death to "post hip hop noise jams". As if you're not intrigued. Don't lie.
Lifelounge has been offered a bunch of double passes to Spod shows all around Australia. But time is money, so you'll have to hop to it.
It's pretty easy, we just want you to email comps@lifelounge.com with your full name, Lifelounge user name, the show you want to attend and what you love/hate about cats and you might just get lucky. But you have to email by the afternoon of Wednesday October 15th or it's all over, Red Rover. Our favourite answers win.
Here's one of our favourite little Spod ditties, 'Cats':
Here are the venues and dates:
October 17th at the Northcote Social Club, Melbourne.
October 18th at Enigma Bar, Adelaide.
October 24th at Oxford Tavern, Wollongong.
October 25th at Oxford Art Factory, Sydney.
October 31st at Great Northern Hotel, Byron Bay.
November 1st at The Step Inn, Brisbane.
November 2nd at Sol Bar, Coolum.
