I'm not ashamed to say it, the sight of a massive, shiny, custom rig
cruising down the highway still makes me feel like the 5 year old
version of myself, in absolute heaven playing withy my Tonka trucks. I
love them and I'm not alone. American Big Rig photographer, Roger Snider
remembers on road trips to his grandma's house in Virginia, being in
awe of these massive shiny machines at trucks stops. By the time he was
8, he was convinced that he would be a big rig driver when he grew up.
There's
nothing tougher and I think most young boys can't help but be impressed
by the sight of these beasts. You may remember a blog entry - King of the Road in puzello's blog a little while ago. Roger contacted me this morning about a new website that he's set up called Ultra Rigs of The World,
dedicated to introducing the Big Rig subculture to a maintream
audience. There are some seriously pimped out rigs that must be seen to
be believed.
