Merijn Hos' illustration of happiness kind of remind me of a girl i
used to got to school with. Regardless of what she was doing, she would
have a fantastic smile on her face. She could stuffing her face with a
burger, playing softball or whatever but her inner happiness would be
spewing out of every essence of her being...
At the time, for some reason I found it incredibly irritating but
people seemed to be attracted to it. Happiness is quite magnetic, you
can't help but want to be a part of it and that's how I feel about
Merijn Hos' illustrations. Each of them depicts a world that is so
damn happy and fun, you just want to dive right in their and start
shooting rainbow laserbeams out of your kneecaps... Good times.
