If you've been to Melbourne, you've no doubt seen Reka's works over the past seven years. His weird, and sometimes creepy, characters living in fantasy worlds have been lighting up the city's alleyways, train tunnels, walls, and all kinds of paintable surfaces. Reka is notorious, infamous, talented, and an important contributor to Melbourne's street art; but has also seen success through his exhibitions of more artworks on more 'traditional' canvases.
Pseudo-humans, demons, thieves and a bunch of other creatures will be on show in his Tall Oaks solo show at No Vacancy gallery in Melbourne from the 29th May to 13th June. His recent pieces have a hand-made element, as Reka has used discarded objects, wood
and hand-stretched canvases as mediums.
But if you can't make it, check out the attached images that Reka kindly shared with us. And you. Mainly you.
