The story goes that The Stolen Girlfriends Club began as a band (and failed), artists (were sued for plagiarism of Basquiat's work) and then pro-surfers (failed, again) but once they decided on fashion design, they found their calling.
The New Zealand label has a soft spot for leather and distressed denim but this collection headed towards a slightly braver place with some sheer leggings embellished with a neon zipper, sleek dresses sexed up with panels of mesh, and some other pieces inspired by Robert Palmer's 'Simply Irresistible' band. Ooh la la.
