I feel the German born and now Melbourne based photographer, Michael
Kai gains a great deal of satisfaction with messing with our heads. His
current photographic project, This Side Up is a series of
manipulated, distorted and tweaked photographs that, if he was alive
today, Escher would proudly hang on his ceiling wall. At first glance
they seem like completely normal everyday photographs, but at closer
inspection and following a killer headache as your brain ties itself
up in knots, you realise
they're not.
