Los Angeles hip hop trio, Time Machine, released their album Life is Expensive yesterday through Glow in the Dark and Shogun and already scored some pretty sweet reviews on music blogs and magazine websites. Despite some iffy cover art (is it Jessica Rabbit and Jordan's love-child?) the fellas' album is definitely sticking to what they know best - old school vibed, party hip hop that is very nicely produced by clever DJ/producer Mekalek.
MCs Jet Set Jay and Biscuit again offer up lyrics that are sometimes socially aware, sometimes dance-floor happy, and often focusing on the everyday; whether it's mundane or delightful.
We have a bunch of copies of Life is Expensive to give to some lucky Loungers. Just email comps@lifelounge.com and tell us if you had your own time machine, where would you be headed? Best answers win.
This competition has now closed. Congratulations to our funny and clever winners.
