British illustrator, Chris Dent creates incredibly detailed and accurate artworks of some of the world's most significant cities. His New York skyline is reminiscent of Mateo Pericoli (the man responsible for the Beastie Boys' To the Five Boroughs cover art) as they are predominantly black and white cityscapes that manage to be both simple and complex all at once.
Graduating from Camberwell College of Arts in England, 23-year-old Dent has been named as one of the top three young illustrators in the UK, won the Curator's Choice award in the 2006 Noise Festival, and has had works featured in Dazed & Confused, Arts Projects, Zing Magazine and Noise Magazine.

remember when you were in school and you used to draw in the columns of your paper? the more boring the lesson the more detailed your drawing became. this reminds me of those really boring lessons.. where you had an image in your head and you just kept adding more and more detail.
