Some covers make us sad (Coldplay doing Kylie Minogue, Alien Ant Farm doing Michael Jackson, All Saints doing the Red Hot Chili Peppers) but some covers make us happy (Donny Hathaway doing Marvin Gaye, Mark Ronson and Daniel Merriweather doing the Smiths, Michael Andrews and Gary Jules doing Tears for Fears). This is one of those covers that seems too soon, but kind of isn't.
The Kooks have recorded their version of MGMT's 'Kids' for Triple J's Like a Version (8.15am on Fridays) and it comes right after Vampire Weekend's sweet interpretation of Fleetwood Mac's 'Everywhere'.
