Oftentimes the simplest idea is the best. American Apparel took simple cuts in a vast range of colours and expanded it into an empire. So too did Havaianas with the humble thong (that’s flip-flop if you speak American).
In Atlanta-based Yokoo’s own words, “I made scarves, some of which were chunky.” This girl is all about the yarn. Yokoo makes all of her pieces by hand, turning them into the best warm hug to ever get stuck in. She’s also branched out into chains made out of wool blend, Minnie bows and cranberry muffs. All of them, of course, are very chunky.
