Because everybody loves Vampire Weekend and everybody loves Fleetwood Mac and if you say you don't, you might be delusional. And in case you missed Vampire Weekend at Splendour in the Grass or any of their Australian sideshows and can't get to their current tour of the US and UK, they did a cover of Fleetwood Mac's 'Everywhere' recently.
And look at this for a connection: Vampire Weekend's 'Oxford Comma' was directed by Richard Ayoade who plays Saboo the Shaman in The Mighty Boosh, and in one episode after Tony Harrison suggests playing 'Tusk' in its entirety, Saboo says he has beef with the Mac: "The same beef every right thinking man has, they are bullshit munchers!". That's what we call six degrees of Kevin Bacon, kids.
