Melbourne's McCulloch Gallery is hosting a show by amazing painter Van Rudd. His paintings make political and social comments all over the place and are sometimes a bit of a mindfuck.
Rudd truly believes that art is a weapon and that in today’s current global climate, should not only be relegated to the matching of somebody’s couch. Which is good because his paintings might not match couches, but they are pretty amazing and speak volumes.
Opening night is Friday 19th of September from 6pm-10pm at McCulloch Gallery, Rankins Lane, Melbourne.

I love that he says "art shouldn't be relegated to match somebody's couch." Testify.
