Rens - I used to work for a guy who spent a lot of time in NY. He’d always say “Yo B, this shit is bananas”. Hopefully some of that ends up here.

Returning to television for April Mar 26, 2008 at 12:15
Yo! MTV Raps is returning to television (and online) throughout April to celebrate its 20th anniversary. There'll be interviews with former hosts, rare footage, and photos, but we're not sure who's officially hosting yet.

Yo! MTV Raps
premiered in 1988 with Run DMC as the first guest hosts, and featured Eric B and Rakim and Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince. Guests like Public Enemy, Cypress Hill, Beastie Boys all drew viewers, but possibly the most popular artists were the Naughty by Nature fellas. Noteworthy episodes include Ol' Dirty Bastard crazy drunk and attempting to freestyle, Tupac admitting to beating up the Hughes brothers, the first and last episodes which featured Salt-n-Pepa, and an awkward interview with Busta Rhymes' former crew, the Leaders of the New School.
