Tilda Strikes Again
7/05/2008 8:16:56 PM
Well yet another reason to hate Tilda Swinton and her inability to dress has popped up: this time, at fashion's night of nights, the Costume Institute Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.  Her only saving grace is her date: iconic queer performer Justin Bond, which ups poor Tilda's cool-ness. God knows she needs it. That dress is super-fugly.

I'm not sure if this is something everyone's already seen, enjoyed, and gotten over, but I've never seen this before and I'm LOVING it. Different camps have got a different spin on the morals surrounding this, (ie. prisoners punished if they don't participate, etc) but regardless of the sad reality of Filipino prisons, I think it is pure gold (or orange). Take particular note of the over-enthusiastic dancers at the front. I think I might hire them for my next birthday.

Tilda the Terror

Oh Ms. Swinton, one last time: you are not Cate Blanchett. ‘Our’ Cate could have rolled out of bed, thrown this darling Lanvin number on and headed off to the Oscars without so much as running a comb through her hair, and she would’ve looked phenomenal. You were at your peak as the freaky cult leader ‘Sal’ in the Beach. Let’s leave it there.

Everyone’s really scared of you, Tildy. You have the eyes of the devil.
