Unless you've been under a rock the past month, I'm sure you've all seen Björk's amazing new video clip. Finally, you can watch the 3D version, which is exclusively up at Wired.com

By the way, this is justification for wearing those 3D glasses you own. Please, PLEASE stop wearing them to music festivals. They are second only to Kanye's venetian glasses in terms of festival-goer douchiness.

Tron Gets Sweded

Seems like everything is being Sweded these days, thanks to the process being made popular through Gondry's latest effort, 'Be Kind Rewind'. The latest to get the Swedish treatment is 'Tron', at the hands of Frenchman Freres-Hueon.

Homeland Security Gets A Spring Makeover
29/03/2008 3:12:09 PM

For too long, the colours used on the threat-level system have been bland and unoriginal. Now that it's approaching Spring in the US, Homeland Security has updated their threat-level color codes to reflect the seasons, and I think it's all the better for it. I know that when I'm living in fear, it has to go with my pastels... (via Wired) |

Things I Bought From The Internet On A Whim, Part 1
18/03/2008 2:45:38 PM
|
|
...In which I attempt to review and/or justify all the crap I buy from the Internet without ever really knowing how the product functions/fits/looks.

The one thing that has always bugged me about the iPod is that the designers at Apple insist on keeping the reflective rear on the 'Classic' models, which means that as soon as the iPod is touched by human hands, it's completely covered in fingerprints.
This is why, if you're very a little OCD like me, you've probably got a case for your iPod. I've been through a few, and when I bought an iPod classic, I started the quest once again to find something to protect my iPod, without ruining the look of it.
TinBot is, as the name suggests, a tin case for your iPod. There's not much to it; it opens and shuts like a book, has holes for headphones and the dock connector, and is padded inside with a layer of foam. In fact, the main reason I bought one was because Parra has designed one of the cases, and I've been a long-time unwealthy admirer of his work.
When I received it, I thought that lack of access to the iPod's controls would be a problem, but it's great - so many times I swear I've switched the hold button, only to find at the end of the day that my entire battery is drained, forcing me to listen to inane conversations on the train. The case easily flicks open to reveal the entire iPod, whenever it's needed. The only problems with it is the fact that my radio transmitter can't connect to the iPod through the dock hole in the case, and that I've got a feeling that after a few months, the paint may start to chip. That said, if you want to make your iPod stand out from the crowd (or hide the fact that you own an iPod), give TinBot a go.
P.S. For all you designers out there, TinBot make a white matte tin, for you to unleash your Sharpies all over.
