Here are some photos taken at the trots last Friday night. I would like to quickly point out, that although I was feeling a little sentimental when I first walked in to the half empty racing stadium, bleached photos of jockeys long dead clinging onto the wall of fame, rows of empty melamine tables in the cafeteria; a world no longer in-mode with this world.
But let me tell you, by the end of the night I wanted to torch the damn place and all the pigs (not the horses) inside. I have never (and my beautiful friends included) experienced such an overt amount of sexual harassment in a single place at one time. When I brought this to the attention of the management and security guards I was met with a scoff and a round of laughs. It was appalling. Apparently, when someone spoke up against this crew of sexist racist bastards last week, the poor guy was bashed to smithereens. I won't even start on horses and their blindfolds. Anyway, just wanted to de-romanticize the trots, as the pics above make it look so pretty and wholesome.

Some shots from the Lifelounge show opening on Friday night, held at the always cool, always packed China Heights in Surry Hills. Some of these photos feature the mutts of the Lifelounge family, so no rude comments. We are all beautiful butterflies.

Home-coming

Well, the holiday is over, back to the treadmill. But I gotta say, it's great to be back in Sydney. As soon as I stepped off the plane I was hit with the distinct smell of ocean and dry gum leaves, a nostalgic mix which will always melt my heart.
Here are the last shots of the holiday, from the (very small) window I had on Virgin. This was the last star glowing in the fast disappearing night sky over the Western planes, and the first hint of the new day over Sydney.
Ah its good to be home!
