Next time you're there I highly recommend spending time in Coyoacan. It was my favourite area of D.F.; night market, Trotsky's house (you walk past the desk where he was killed with infamous icepick) and of course, as you mentioned, Frida Kahlo's Blue House. You get to see her last unfinished painting which is eerily placed in front of her wheelchair.
