I am an american and I bought my first gun less than a month ago. I am in the repossession business and it got to a point where I was being hassled and threatened with guns more often than not. Since I now wear one on my hip when I show up for the car (and a bulletproof vest), I haven't had a single issue since.
The only "right to bear arms" thing is the 2nd Amendment of our constitution and many forget why it was put there in the first place. It was for militias and to make sure that the government couldn't control the people... well now the government has bigger guns than the people and it makes the people believe that it will stomp the ever loving shit out of them if they act up anyway.
I own one because I feel safer having it when I work. Would I rather not own one?
