A whole lot of ASS
18/11/2008 1:28:22 PM

TRY come up with a better competition!? Doubt.
The company Sloggi have thought of it, they invited 23 countries to go ass-to-ass in Paris.

There was no doubt it was always going to be a winner for all, especially all the seedy old men in the crowd trying to get the best wallpaper on their mobile phones.

Alas the Brazilians namely, Melanie Nunes Fronckowiak, unsurprisingly took to prize for best most bountiful booty in the world, while the Frenchman, Saiba Bombote took home the 'junk in the man trunk' award.

Feast your hungry eyes on the rest of the competition.

It's his GOD GIVEN right
12/11/2008 12:05:37 PM

Ok, so lets breakdown the maths here:

• 4 Wives.
• 35 Children.
• Married 24 times.
• Has sex 15 times a day.
• Has 260 horsepower = 35,000 men power.

Facts:
- Can bend coins with his eye socket and tear them in half.
- Not only did Allah tell him to, but he has a medical certificate to prove it.
- The president pardons him from prison and recognises that he IS Super(hu)man.

OH! AND! he's not allowed to enter the ARMY because he might HURT someone. WTF!!?!?!?!

His wives must have wombs of steel! 35 children and no hope of slowing down.
I think I need more proof, or do I not? I WANT TO BELIEVE!

Amazing claims none-the-less.

Perth Art on a Plate
5/11/2008 11:24:33 AM
From Love Is My Velocity via TheVine

In 2007 we did this thing called The Love is My Velocity Cookbook. The idea behind it was to use the cookbook genre to write about Perth music and to showcase Perth art and design. It made people shit themselves so hard that we realised that combining art with everyday objects can be a good way to get people interested in art and to create work for emerging artists. So to follow up, we present the Love is My Velocity Plate Project

The deal here is that we commissioned a group of Perth artists to submit designs to be printed onto melamine plates which were produced in editions of 10 each. The works that poured in spanned the spectrum of fully realized images to hastily cobbled improvs from artists who are either on their way to the art scene establishment or just now testing the waters. All the profits from the plates go to the artists. You can see the designs and learn about the artists here

This is waaay better than just buying a boring old print (having said that, please also buy our boring old prints). As a plate, the work is with you when you’re eating, when you’re washing the dishes, and when you’re opening up the dishes cupboard to fetch the cheese grater. It incorporates art into all the crevices of your routine, rather than limiting it to an brief moment marked out for cultural appreciation. Get them while they’re hot (that is, until the end of this month) at Loveismyvelocity.com.

What else is happening in LIMV-land? Well, we are plotzing over vanity pets, being posthumously mesmerised by Ol' Dirty Bastard's lazy eyelids and quasi-modern dance moves and planning on going to this thing. Yes, we are partially located in New York at the moment. More importantly, we are preparing ourselves for the Stina/Tigers split 7 inch single launch on November 29 at the Bakery on November, as well as the Lakes/Circle Pit/Wasted Truth tour coming through town at various venues from November 19 to 22. Until then, good luck following the US election. You'll probably need it.

Lots of guys swing with a call-girl like Bree
22/10/2008 2:39:11 PM
So the tale of the hooker with a golden heart is nothing new. Argueably the most famous call-girl in film, Jane Fonda does it with bangs and an array of yummy outits in Klute (1971). An oldie that's a goodie, about a missing man, two dead call-girls and a detective hired to solve the mystery.

A classic murder mystery with its twists and turns, Klute, played by Donald Sutherland as a hot lead male (jury is still out) and Bree Daniels (yes, really) played by Jane Fonda, the highly strung call-girl with the key to catching the killer.

Zip Zap Happy Snap with Dana Goldstein
15/10/2008 3:27:28 PM
According to her very official/boring bio on her website:
"DANA WAS BORN IN LOUISVILLE, KY BUT SPENT PARTS OF HER LIFE LIVING IN NEW YORK AND THE SOUTH OF FRANCE. IN THE SUMMER OF 2007 SHE RECEIVED HER BFA IN PHOTOGRAPHY FROM THE SAVNNAH COLLEGE OF ART AND DESIGN AND RETURNED TO NEW YORK CITY WHERE SHE SPENT ALMOST A YEAR INTERNING AND ASSISTING FASHION PHOTOGRAPHER KENNETH CAPPELLO."

Whoa, Kanye CAPS attack.

Anyways, her pictures are A LOT more exciting. In fact, just between you and me (and maybe all of the interwebs) I think they're rad (and rad is short for radical).

The majority of Goldstein's photography is documentary portraiture based on themes like chance and experience and her work has appeared in i-D, Dazed & Confused, Vice, and Sup Magazine. Just so you know.
