French Campaign for AIDS Awareness May 14, 2007 at 12:47
AIDS is fucking scary and it seems to be an issue that has been largely overlooked in times of late. At least in Australia, I can't honestly remember an ad campaign that has addressed the issue in the same light as the Grim Reaper commercials from the late 80's. We all know the 'right' thing to do but realistically (particularly when you're young and inexperienced) you need that kind of 'fear of god' message to distract your hormones and force you into being safe at the intimate point of no return.

That's why you've got to love the French and their new public health posters for AIDS awareness.  They're far from subtle although I’m not sure how effective they will be. By the looks of it, these folks seem to be quite enjoying their scorpion and tarantula lovers.

False New Lounger
Dear Luke, i think it is a good campaign, by far better than anything i watched in 20 years produced by the Germany Aidshilfe so far. Another very good french spot is that funny music clip creating a real and huge psychological dissonance and very entertaining and funny at the same time. Maybe, that is even better, than the AIDES BUG campaign here.
False Respect
