While almost every facet of bad 80s fashion has been dredged up and
reinvented by fashionistas the world over, there are still a few
remaining pieces of 80s gold that are yet to be rediscovered, in
particular the amazing trend that was sleeveless denim jackets. Never
fear though, because our good buddies the Serps have never been ones to
overlook buried gold, and now are proud to bring you their latest art
project If You Send Me To Heaven, Better Be In Denim.
Comprised of a heap of artworks by respected Melbourne based Tattooists, Graff Writers and all-round Good Dudes, If You Send Me To Heaven, Better Be In Denim is
a unique showcase of wearable art, consisting of hand painted works on
the back of pre-loved sleeveless denim jackets. Check out some preview
pics of the works to the right, and if you happen to be in Melbourne
town on November 30, head down to the opening at Coppin St Studios from
7pm onwards at 59 Coppin St, Burnley. There'll be DJs and giveaways and
probably some booze. What more could you want?
