Exquisite collisions by Shinichi Maruyama

Japanese artist Shinich Maruyama is not the type of photographer you'd
want to lend your studio to in a hurry. In his latest series
Kusho, he's captured the exquisite
airborne collisions of black indian ink and water
which are photographed moments before the two substances inevitably
become a grey puddle of mess all over the studio floor. Shot using strobe light
technology with speeds up to one 7500th of a second the level of detail is unbelievable. Messy but beautiful stuff.
