Hideously cute newborn babies by Thierry Bouët

Whether they're clouded by the delirium of hours spent in labour or
months of anticipation for the arrival of their next generation most
new parents are oblivious to the fact that their babies are actually
pretty freaky looking. Far from the adorable little Cupie dolls you
might expect, newborns at times look more like strange and purple
mutated balls of hairy flesh and mucus, than people to be.
French
photographer Thierry Bouët in his latest series has sought to highlight
they're freakishness by photographing 50 newborn babies at point blank
in their first hours out from the womb. The images are currently blown
up to a massive proportion and on display in Paris at the former
department store La Samaritaine until the end of this week. Amazing
